A new Ten C Style in their Fall - Winter 2019 line up. It features handy pockets, a Field Jacket collar with a stash away hood in it and a wind flap that covers the zipper.
The Marshall Jacket is a contemporary interpretation of a extensively modified, and repaired, Sherman tank jacket found in the Montagnola flee market in Bologna. The Sherman jacket from the 1940s, the preferred choice of Sherman tank drivers, had clearly been heavily used and had worn out - or lost - its original shirt style collar and this had been replaced with a 1960s field jacket version. Patches on the elbow and lower sleeve had also been added, as well as a badly executed, slanted chest pocket. This Ten c version respects the “hybrid” sourced in Bologna, but has a more practical, cleaner chest pocket.
It's made from OJJ Japanese Jersey, the signature Ten C fabric. A knitted, not woven, fabric made with a polyester micro fibre/nylon yarn. Ten c is the only company willing to take on the challenge and the problems associated with garment dyeing such a fabric because it believes that the resulting feel, touch and quality is worth it. The garment dyeing of this fabric is exclusive to Ten C.
This jersey fabric will, with time, mould itself almost imperceptibly to your body and will acquire, with use, a unique individual patina, each jacket reflecting its own personal history and that of its user. It will become Your Jacket.
