2 years ago i was wondering how to offer "dress" sneaker comfort and weight,  to a pair of Aldens. I knew the classic leather sole slip on, but this one is way off our DNA, even its the most comfortable loafer Alden ever produced.

So we decided to use the pattern, but to make it in a Barrie last, considered as the most comfortable last Alden offers. For the sole the crepe sole was not an option as this would add to much weight, so it had to be the goodyear sole, rducing the weight over 50%. The result exceeded my expectations by far! It looks cool, works prefect on denims, but also on flannels and the comfort and weight is just as it looks. Of course the first release had to be in snuff suede.

The Goodyear sole is the most lightweight sole Alden makes and it offers sneaker like comfort. The sole uses a steel shank to support both the arch and heel, distributing the weight more evenly & reducing fatigue during wear.
