A BUCO Product, the RIDER’S SCARF is a cotton scarf in an all-over checkerboard print.
The scarf has long been a fundamental accessories for motorcyclists. In the days before helmets became a standard requirement, bikers would often wrap scarves around their necks and mouths. This practice provided not only a sense of comfort but also essential warmth, highlighting the scarf's practical role in the early days of motorcycle riding.
Historically, the only means for race officials to communicate to drivers was through the usage of flags. A symbol of victory in the racing world, the checkered flag has been heavily incorporated into motorsports garments and merchandise, first being seen around the 1950's and was commonly employed in novelty products by motorsports manufacturers through the 1970's.
