The wardrobe of legends collection presents products inspired by iconic figures of the era, selected by Coherence's Creative Director, Kentaro Nakagomi. Leonard Tsuguharu Foujita was a painter who captivated Paris in the 1920s with his free-spirited style. Kentaro Nakagomi created the FOUFOU II model, inspired by a photograph of Foujita taken on the beach in Deauville in 1928 and the 'Motoring Coat,' which is identical in form to the one he wore. The Motoring Coat is a beltless double-breasted style, and its name originates from the nickname Foujita was known by during the 'Ecole de Paris' era, when art flourished most in Paris. The FOUFOU II is a coat distinguished by its fluid lines and features slanted raglan sleeves.
The Melton Jersey keeps its silhouette like authentic Melton, and also has characteristic of smooth touch, lightness, and elasticity. The jersey uses a mix of wool, cashmere and nylon, originally yarned with irregular count. This all results in a luxurious fabric which will keep you warm through winter with minimal wrinkling.
The Matawa Silk Liner can be removed from the jacket and is included. We chose to include it to serve all of you who want a liner. The liner is a thin yet warm liner filled with boiled silk which regulates the temperature without ever making the jacket "stuffy".
The fit of the jacket is generous, this is the intended fit and we strongly advise to remain in your usual size. The cut makes it perfect to combine it with a sports coat or other winter layers. Please use the check the fit button to find all sizing info.
