A lot of clothing has Military, University or Sportive roots, even ties... Or mainly ties?
That why we decided to bring you 20 different ties, launched in 5 drops, 4 series each.
Made in the highest quality "Super Repp" silk, in the way we like them best, untipped! This is unusual for this kind of tie, but looks much better and makes a more subtile tie. Anyway, it's our tie, so we can do whatever we want as long we respect the stripes!
And we do, we took a dive into history and you can enjoy our research!
The 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards) was a cavalry regiment of the British Army. It was formed in 1922, based in India at the time. The regiment departed in 1925 for Britain. In 1936 the 3rd Carabiniers was posted to Sialkot in India. Here the regiment changed its horses for armoured vehicles. During World War Two the regiment saw action in India, serving in Northeast-India. During the Battle of Imphal six tanks of the regiment (M3 Lee medium tanks) came in to contact with six Japanese tanks. Five Japanese tanks were destroyed, one being captured. These kind of battles of tank versus tank were quite rare on the Asian front. After the fighting in India the regiment pushed on and operating deep into occupied Burma. They were still active in Burma when the war ended in 1945. In 1971 the regiment amalgamated with the Royal Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons), forming the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys).
