Browsing my archives, I noticed,  I initated, but not completed one or two attempts to re-create the teal colored cardigan Steve McQueen was wearing frequently on several pictures. A lot of attempts were made by several "brands", but the cost often restricted the makers of it.

Not sure if the color teal is the correct color, but on the picture it's teal, so here the hunt started.  A lot of grey, petrol, or melange colors passed, but never the teal I had in mind, until Mr David Nuttal came up with a small piece of yarn, from one of his suppliers he also found in his archive digging it , to find the right one for me.

Then we wanted the fit to be period correct, but also fitting our clientele, a cardigan that is not that bulky as the Windsor one from Lockie, but more elegant and a bit "longer". Actually, the length is similar to the Windsor, but measured from the narrower armhole, - pit - its longer below this pit. Waist and hem appear to be wider, but this is to make it look more straight, not like a balloon, so finally you will see it will look slimmer and after sampling, we made it now and the final sample that will be exactly the same in the final knit is perfect to us.

Size wise we can tell you that when you are a 42 in our other Lockie styles , you can stay in this size, worn like Mr. McQueen did. If you want it to be slim, size one size down, sleeves are long enough.
