Introducing the "Crew Neck Short Sleeve / Rustic Jersey" from Olde Homesteader.
The lightweight knit fabric, made from recycled cotton, has an exquisite balance of firmness and softness, a smooth feel against the skin, and a light, comfortable fit. Furthermore, the balance of the neck and armhole openings and the silhouette is superb, and the way it stretches and develops a nice texture after being worn is also excellent. The idea that "because it's something you use every day, it should be something you truly believe in" is embodied in this simple T-shirt.
The knit fabric of "Rustic Jersey" is made using recycled cotton, specifically "waste cotton," which is cotton with short fibers that do not meet the standards for extra-long staple Supima cotton. By using this "waste cotton," a natural unevenness is created in the spun yarn, giving the knit fabric a unique texture. As you wear and wash it repeatedly, the yarn will swell, creating an uneven texture in the knit, and the excellent feel will become even more pronounced. Initially, the soft knit fabric has a fluffy texture, and as you wear it (as you wear and wash it repeatedly), it will change to a slightly drier texture. The "Rustic Jersey," which is made using "waste cotton" with shorter fiber lengths, has a natural uneven texture, and the knit fabric has a pleasant look and feel, as well as a cool look as it wrinkles over time.
