During our trip to Japan in the spring of 2024 we were shown around the Orslow headquarters in Kobe, and in their archives we found an older M-43 jacket which we loved. After some back and forth we decided to have it produced as a store exclusive style, faithfully recreating the original.
For us the M-43 is a perfect example of great design that stood the test of time. It's the precursor for the iconic M-65 Field jacket and has much of the same practical aspects but a slightly bolder design with it's wide collar and characteristic reversed satin fabric.
This Satin fabric is both durable and weatherproof and machine washable. The more you wash it the more patina the jacket gets. The design has four big functional buttoned flap pockets, so you can fit everything you might need and the collar can be worn raised to block out the wind by closing the chin strap.
