 N-1 Deck jackets were worn by the aircraft carrier deck crew during world war II and the Korean war. The thick cotton shell and Alpaca lining gave the deck crew the needed warmth and protection from the elements during cold weather conditions. First they were made in Navy blue to symbolize the U/S Navy before it changed to khaki. They were customized often by the wearer with patches or stenciled. The N-1 deck jacket were mass produced, but due to the extreme conditions they were worn, not many of them left, so here you have the correct reproduction made even better then the original by the artisans of Real McCoy's.

This is an updated version of their previous N-1 Deck jacket featuring a slightly darker and more red-ish navy, the sitch count on the fabric is higher, which is more period correct for this style of jacket. The updated fit mainly focuses on more movability through the arms while remaining the classic slimmer fit compared to the Khaki counterpart.

Deck jackets have an almost 80 year history of different cultural movements appropriating it's design. This, thanks to the good looks and amazing versatility and practicality. It's a classic that never goes out of style and The Real McCoy's brings us the best version yet.
