This is one of those pants you have to understand and it needs a closer look for sure.
It's cropped, meant to be worn as high as the ankle starts, that's why the bottom width is a bit more narrow than usual. Because it's short, it's best with bare feet in the shoes, or contrasting colored socks, to emphasize the effect of the cropped length.
The Corduroy is lightweight and has a little stretch for comfort which makes it perfect for spring and summer.
