The D1844U jeans by Studio D'artisan are a nice classic straight fit with a mid rise, inspired by the jeans of 1940's war time America. The model takes all the period specific details and takes them to an aging process, giving the pants a faded look with aged buttons
The denim is a mid-weight 12.5Oz selvedge twill, beautifully washed with a textured hand.
During World War II, the U.S. government required all garment manufacturers to remove a certain amount of metal, fabric, and sewing thread from their garments in order to make efficient use of resources. For this reason, some special details arise. For example: off came the watch pocket rivets, the crotch rivet and the cinch back, along with its two rivets and on came standard issue laurel leaf (semi copper) buttons and painted arcutes.
