The patched up Jungle Fatigue by The Real McCoy´s a great iteration of the classic jacket, originally designed for tropic weather which makes it a go-to light summer jacket. Just pair it with your favorite worn in pair of jeans, and you are good to go.
In 1965 the US Military entered Vietnam War, but even before the war, the US Army troops always struggled a hard battle in warmer climates. In 1962, the Jungle Fatigue Jacket was introduced to resolve this problem. The jacket was designed based off the Jump Jacket used in WW2, and the early models featured exposed buttons on pockets. The light poplin cotton fabric was favorable between the troops for the garment was easily dried, but the light weight fabric was also prone to rip, making the later fabric change to rip-stop in the 70s.
