This cap is a reproduction of the P1944 utility cap, which was independently adopted by the Marine Corps, in Frogskin camouflage. The design is quite similar to its predecessor, the P1941, which was borrowed from the Army, but it lacks the pleat in the center of the front and has a slightly longer brim.

The fabric used for this product was carefully selected from deadstock fabrics, faithfully reproducing even the shade of green and the way the threads are twisted.
The fabric print uses dyes just like the original, and will fade and change to the yellow color commonly seen in vintage garments.
