The Moleskin Ranch Coat, often referred to as a “ranch coat” for its origins on the open range, was originally designed as cold-weather workwear for Cowboys. in the 60's various manufacturers released coats of this type, and they quickly became popular as general cold-weather clothing.

While many ranch coats of the time had acrylic linings, this product is made of 100% wool, giving it a heavy feel and excellent cold-weather protection.

The Ranch Coat was famously worn by Bob Dylan on the cover of his self-titled debut studio album back in 1962.
