Our Alain Shawl Collar Cardigan by William Lockie is a 4-ply lambswool cardigan. Based on a design from the William Lockie archive that was popular among Scottisch workers because of it's hard wearing nature and multi functional design.
We tweaked the design by opting for a slimmer shoulder, which gives it a more flattering and modern look. We sourced the dark brown horn buttons in Italy and added handy patch pockets which give you enough space to store some smaller items. The 4-ply knit gives it a substantial weight which makes it a great transitional piece, as a heavy sweater in winter, or as a jacket when spring comes around.
