A lot of clothing has Military, University or Sportive roots, even ties... Or mainly ties?
That why we decided to bring you 20 different ties, launched in 5 drops, 4 series each.
Made in the highest quality "Super Repp" silk, in the way we like them best, untipped! This is unusual for this kind of tie, but looks much better and makes a more subtile tie. Anyway, it's our tie, so we can do whatever we want as long we respect the stripes!
And we do, we took a dive into history and you can enjoy our research!
Founded in 1879 as Somerville Hall, it was one of the first women's colleges in Oxford. Certain alumnae, such as Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi and many others, have played a very important role in feminist struggle. Somerville is known for its liberal atmosphere which traces back to its foundation by social liberals as the first non-denominational college in Oxford. It is one of the few Oxford colleges where students may walk on the grass. No gowns are worn during Formal Halls. In the 1970s, the all-male colleges in Oxford began to admit female students. Somerville remained a women's college until 1992, when its statutes were amended to permit male students and fellows.
