My favorite summer jacket by far! When i met Mr. De Petrillo and finally found time to spend a couple of hours together we started to appreciate each others ideas and shared the same feelings about fabrics. He loved our British selection and he showed me a fabric assuming i would love it. And i did! We went together to the fabric supplier who created this fabric and i couldn't resist ordering it, actually i ordered it without any doubt. The metrage was correct and we still have some fabric left for extra production or for those who really can't wear ready to wear jackets. It's an amazing fabric 87% linen and 13% cotton spun together in a heavy strong yarn that has volume and keeps it's shape. This is the kind of fabric you always wonder were to get it. Well, thats a secret between the maker, Benny De Petrillo and me. But I can say I appreciate the kindness from Benny to bring it to me, very very much! Grazie Mille!
I wear it like a piece of outerwear in spring, summer and early autumn without any doubt. Also i like it a bit oversized, not to fit, for comfort and looks. (this is a strictly personal preference) on a pair of white denims and Alden loafers, sneakers or chukkas. Also on a pair of strong washed denims it will be great, just with a neutral sweatshirt and a white tee - But wearing it with some light grey hopsack pants, and a crisp white button down Tokyo shirt also works for sure.
