The Lookbook - Part 8

frans boone store lookbook part 8

Slow fashion – Still a fascinating expression. Because the word fashion is a kind of dirty word you don’t want to commit yourself too, but you are always linked too when owning stores…

But it’s the best description to make people understand that clothes or style don’t and doesn’t last one season but lasts forever.

In this case, this style can be found in many way’s in many books or movies, or just on the street.

I see this look at a guy in his mid 40íes or 50íes all the way. With respect for the past and the love for the product he liked also when 16 years old… Now he can have it in the best quality ever made and doesn’t have to hunt for each piece as we stock it all…

The Gitman shirt is a series initiated some season ago and suddenly people understand it, it works that well on the White herringbone chino’s that you can’t imagine it was always there. We stocked it and put it aside because now it’s perfect in this way matching the navy of the bomber and the milkshake suede Alden boots. These Milkshake suede boots are an Alden exclusive for Frans Boone, made on the Aberdeen last a real elegant, but very cool alternative for the stock style Indy boots…

The bomber is made by The Real McCoy’s a family business creating the best replicas of sports and military gear from the past. The fabrics used are extremely well sourced and the details like zippers and snap buttons are feeling like they will last a lifetime. And they do, all snap buttons are tested in Japan, and not just one time, but several times to avoid they fall of while selling it, or the years after… (yes it happens a lot of times with many brands, I can tell you…) The lining, the pocketing, it’s all made like perfect is not good enough. The complete story of this bomber and the patches is in the product description, so I won’t write it twice, but on these jackets the patches are the best I’ve never seen before Real McCoys entered our store.

White chino’s in this way are the real stuff for the cool, they are strong and have a perfect weight to be worn almost all year round, also you can imagine this look with a burgundy or dark green turtle neck in wintertime, the pants will follow without any doubt…

A very cool look, inspired by Ralph Lauren wearing his leather aviator coat. But the coat was replaced here… The socks are just perfect in this look, the soft yellow matches the pants and shoes perfectly., the belt is just an example of the Andersons craftmanship, an evergreen that only get’s better wearing it for sure…

Take care,
